Through the UK–Zimbabwe Health Leadership, Management and Governance Pilot Project, the Health Service Commission of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Life Project developed an automated parliamentary oversight system designed to modernize how the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health collects and analyse health visits data in implementing its oversight role on health services in Zimbabwe.
The digital system is capable to adapt at different settings and various levels of care. It is envisaged the system can be linked with other platforms to help monitor performance of institutions using a dashboard.
This innovation will enhance , evidence-based decision-making, timeous reporting and analysis of effectiveness health system thus promoting improved governance, ultimately strengthening service delivery for citizens.
