HSC rolls out Performance Contracting

The Health Service Commission (HSC) has successfully rolled out Performance Contracting for Directors, or equivalent grades and above, across the public health sector. This initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening accountability, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and aligning executive performance with national health priorities. By institutionalising performance-based management at senior levels, the Commission reinforces its commitment to excellence in service delivery, measurable results, and a high-performing public health system.
The Commission also conducted an induction for the newly appointed directors in the health sector.
Speaking at the event, HSC Secretary Dr. Christopher Pasi urged the directors to take the performance contracts seriously, emphasizing that they are designed to improve efficiency, accountability, and service delivery within hospitals. He noted that effective implementation of these contracts would strengthen leadership, enhance patient care, and ultimately contribute to better health outcomes for the nation.
