The Health Service Commission (HSC) in partnership with the UK, convened a successful feedback meeting with the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health (PPCH). This meeting marked a key milestone under the UK-Zimbabwe Health Partnerships Pilot Programme aimed at enhancing parliamentary oversight in the health sector.
Held at Parliament, the session brought together Honourable Members of the PPCH who had pilot-tested the newly developed oversight tools. The tools, crafted through close collaboration between the HSC and the UK are designed to equip the PPCH with structured, evidence-based instruments for monitoring healthcare delivery, policies and performance across Zimbabwe.
During the session, members shared valuable insights on the practicality of the tools, shared experiences from the field and proposed refinements to strengthen their effectiveness. Their feedback will be crucial in finalising a robust framework that supports transparency, accountability, and improved health outcomes for all Zimbabweans.
This collaboration demonstrates Zimbabwe’s commitment to responsive governance and a resilient health system.
