The Health Leadership and Management Capacity Building Training Programme commenced with a strong call for transformative leadership, innovation, and enhanced management capacity within Zimbabwe’s health sector.
Officially opening the programme, Commissioner Ernest Takafa Manyawu challenged participants to strengthen their leadership competencies and embrace collaborative, evidence-based approaches to address emerging healthcare challenges.
He underscored the importance of building a resilient and effective health workforce capable of delivering quality healthcare services in an evolving health landscape.
He added that the health workforce should be capable of responding to emerging healthcare challenges through collaboration, professionalism, and evidence-based decision-making.
The programme brings together the Health Service Commission, the Ministry of Health and Child Care, and various stakeholders to review the Health Competency Framework, curriculum frameworks on health leadership and management, as well as training module development.
