Leadership and Management Training

The Health Service Commission (HSC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), held a Leadership and Management Training programme aimed at strengthening leadership capacity, enhancing management skills, and promoting effective service delivery across Zimbabwe’s health sector.

The training brought together health sector leaders and managers to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in effective leadership, strategic management, decision-making, team management, accountability, and performance improvement.

The programme provided an important platform for participants to share experiences, identify challenges affecting service delivery, and explore practical approaches to improving the management of health institutions and programmes.

Through the training, HSC and MoHCC reaffirmed their commitment to developing strong, accountable, and effective leadership within the health sector. The initiative was part of broader efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and ensure that health services were delivered efficiently, professionally, and in line with national health priorities.

The training also emphasised the importance of collaborative leadership, continuous professional development, innovation, and results-oriented management in achieving improved health outcomes for communities across Zimbabwe.
