The inaugural Public Health Sector Wellness Festival has officially kicked off in Gweru under the theme “Stronger Together, Healthier Together,” bringing together health professionals from all ten provinces, central hospitals, and national health institutions.
Officially opening the festival on behalf of the Guest of Honour, the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Douglas Mombeshora, Deputy Minister Hon. Cde Sleiman Kwidini commended the Health Service Commission for championing an initiative that promotes employee wellness, teamwork, and a healthy workforce. The Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Owen Ncube, also applauded the Commission for investing in the wellbeing of healthcare workers, describing the festival as a key driver of unity, resilience, and improved service delivery.
The week-long festival features psychosocial and physical wellness activities aimed at strengthening collaboration among Zimbabwe’s health workforce.
