The Health Service Commission Deputy Chairperson Dr Rugare Abigail Kangwende has officially opened the Commission’s Programme Based Budgeting workshop. She said the exercise will redefine the Commission’s trajectory towards excellence, accountability and result-driven culture.
Dr Kangwende emphasized on the need to embrace Integrated Result Based Management and Performance Based Budgeting for the HSC to deliberately commit to operational excellence inline with the Commission’s vision to achieve a world-class health service for a highly prosperous Zimbabwe. In attendance are other HSC commissioners Rtd Major General Dr Gerald Gwinji, Dr Edward Makondo, Angelbert Mbengwa, Mercy Gwaunza , Josephine Mwakutuya and HSC secretary Dr Christopher Pasi.
The workshop is being facilitated by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion together with the Public Service Commission experts. The objectives of the workshop include explanation of IRBM pillars, Advantages of PBB and development of performance information for the various created programmes and sub-programmes.
